Luxury Soap + Navy Shaving Mug
- How to use
A traditional shaving mug serves a very simple purpose but obtains an incredible result. But if we are talking about a Truefitt & Hill shaving mug, we have to take our hats off before even beginning to speak.
This excellent shaving bowl is handmade in the UK and manufactured with a thin porcelain called Bone China (although it is a British product). This type of porcelain is one of the superior ones, since its quality and resistance to impacts is top notch. Its composition is of kaolin, Cornish stone, calcium and a very special ingredient: bovine ash bone, which is used to unite the ingredients and obtain a greater durability.
This shaving mug allows contact with steam, water and soap, which as a result provides a lather which softens and prepares the beard for a perfect shave. The secret? It maintains its moisture throughout the process. In addition, the openings underneath the soap allow draining of the remaining water from the brush to obtain a thicker lather.
If that were not enough, this mug (as the English call it) is well-accompanied. The shaving soap is made from a glycerine base which is famous for its quality. Glycerine provides that smoothness and gentleness which, thanks to its air humidity absorption and skin humidity abilities, guarantees a perfect shave full of moisture. The touch of class is provided by its unmistakable classical style scent, with a hint of lavender. A true pleasure for the senses.
The soap can be also bought separately to enjoy this magnificent experience as many times as you like.
Soap content: 57g.
- Warm up the mug by submerging half the cup in hot water in the basin. Add hot water to the mug and place the soap on top. With circular motions and with a wet brush, load the tip of the bristles with soap until forming a bit of lather. Now you can start shaving and refilling the brush with lather every time you need to. The holes under the soap will drain the remaining lather of water.
